Our #AViewFrom series features select locations, sharing information and facts about our sites across Henkel North America.
While LOCTITE products are well recognized as Henkel’s flagship adhesives brand, the OSI and GE brands are strong contributors to the business’ success. “OSI® QUAD® MAX sealant for window, door and siding installations proves that sustainability and performance are not mutually exclusive,” says Dan Brogan, Corporate Vice President, Consumers & Craftsmen North America. “This product was designed based on end-user input. It is tough against all weather conditions, provides excellent adhesion and long-term durability, cures fast and can match over 9,200 colors.”
The GE-branded consumer sealants represent the newest brand in the portfolio, acquired in late 2020 from Momentive Performance Materials, and complement Henkel’s existing specialty sealant offerings, while expanding its position in North America to include silicone sealants. “I am proud of our team’s efforts to successfully integrate the GE sealants into our portfolio,” added Brogan.
GE-branded consumer sealants are known for innovation in sealant technology and high-quality performance, serving the consumer and professional market for more than 50 years.
Dan Brogan, Vice President, Consumers & Craftsmen North America
The Westlake, OH site was established in 2010, relocating from nearby Avon, following a business divestment. Designed with input from Brogan and Dave Wiegandt, the office layout prioritizes comfort and accessibility for team interactions. It was one of the first North American Henkel offices to move to an open-plan environment. “Collaboration and communications are hallmarks of our team,” says Brogan. “We connect for bi-weekly team meetings, with participation both in person and online, to review business priorities and share updates. Our collaborations continue to lead to exciting innovations, not only in product performance, but also in supporting sustainability through new packaging and product formulations.”
Anna Mulgrew, Head of Network Planning, who manages supply chains that serve multiple production facilities, recognizes a strong sense of community spirit within the Westlake team. “Our employees are very generous with their time and resources. We help build Habitat for Humanity homes with sweat equity and product donations, sponsor local families during the holidays, and, through our customers, support other endeavors, such as the City of Hope cancer research center,” she said.
