Pritt getting ready to party on Roald Dahl Day

Iconic brand Pritt has teamed up with the Roald Dahl Story Company and public sector buying organisation, YPO, to produce a free party pack for schools to help children get ‘stuck in’ to Roald Dahl Day.

Roald Dahl Day is the annual, global celebration of the world’s number one storyteller, his beloved stories and unforgettable characters. Roald Dahl Day happens on and around September 13th, the author’s birthday.

This year, Roald Dahl Day celebrates Roald’s very first novel for children, James and the Giant Peach, with a particular focus on the amazing insects featured in the story. Henkel is joining in the UK celebrations. Much-loved glue brand, Pritt, has collaborated with the Roald Dahl Story Company and YPO, one of Henkel’s key strategic partners within the Education sector, to produce a ‘gloriumptious’ party pack.

The pack, which is free to download from the Roald Dahl website, promises to give children, teachers and other event hosts everything required to host a marvellous party for the world’s number one storyteller. With giant bug ideas galore, the Party Pack will keep Roald Dahl fans entertained and inspired throughout the Autumn term.

Party-ready

Each pack comes with a structure to help teachers plan their day of Roald Dahl celebrations including activities for breakfast clubs, break times and morning and afternoon lessons. The packs also feature special Roald Dahl Day party invitation templates, plus designs to make your own party hats.

Inventive and inspiring activities

The party packs are bursting with activities and experiments for children to get hands-on. From making your own musical grasshopper out of egg cartons, to quizzes on bugs and other interesting not-so-creepy crawlies.

For the wordsmiths, the packs contain all sorts of word games including a juicy wordsearch and a creative writing task centred around storytelling, to help aid literacy skills and capture imaginations.

New for 2018 is a bespoke Party Pack for pre-schoolers focused on Roald Dahl’s The Enormous Crocodile, which has now inspired two board-books for younger readers, published by Penguin Random House.
